Preparing Your Commercial Business for Winter Weather

Fall is here and winter is not far behind. Now is the time to start thinking about preparing your business for winter weather.
- Inspect your walkways and parking lots. Look for proper drainage as issues can be a potential flood hazard, also check for places where icy spots can cause someone to slip and fall.
- Have salt on hand to use on any icy spots to assist in the melting process and assign a designated person to apply the salt before other employees arrive.
- Check your roof for any leaves or branches that may have accumulated from wind or heavy rains during the spring and summer months. This will make it easier to clean the snow off the roofs to prevent potential water damage or roof collapse due to heavy snowfall.
