Fire Safety Tips for Condominiums and High-Rise Apartments

Fires in condominiums and high-rise apartments are especially dangerous.
Make sure that you know where all exit stairs are in your building and select an outside meeting place.
If you would happen to have a fire in your building, it is important to have a plan in place.
Leave your apartment and close the door behind you which helps with keeping the fire from spreading as fast.
Pull the fire alarm on your way out to alert your neighbors and the fire department.
USE the stairs to exit the building. Do NOT use the elevators unless directed by the fire department to do so.
Go to your outside meeting spot and stay there. Call the fire department and if someone is trapped in the building, let the fire department know.
