Commercial Roof Maintenance Can Prevent Water Damage
10/18/2021 (Permalink)
The condition of a roof on a commercial building can easily be overlooked until a water damage occurs. Regular visual inspections of the roof and flashing should be performed. Inspections should be performed at least twice a year, once in the spring and then again in the fall. Always perform a roof inspection after any type of storm or roof construction. In addition to checking the roof itself, an important part of the inspection of the roof system is to check to make sure that the insulation and sheathing (underside of the roof) is dry. Immediate repairs of any defects should be corrected before any moisture enters the roof system or building interior.
