Causes of Dishwasher Leaks
11/11/2021 (Permalink)
Dishwashers usually leak at the door or underneath the washer.
If your dishwasher drainage system is clogged or the float valve fails, water will escape through the door. A leaking door seal can also cause water to escape as well as failure to level the dishwasher properly during installation. Water leaks can also come from damaged hoses and loose hose clamps. The tub itself could develop a hole due to corrosion issues from hard water and/or detergents used.
Be sure and inspect your dishwasher regularly for worn out parts and be sure to clean the filters at least once a month.
